Being active has always defined me, from playing ball as a little kid, to the endless seasons of over lapping sports I played throughout my early adolescent life. I’ve always been “big” and “strong” but CrossFit turned me into something else…”man-bear pig”. I’ve lifted weights from knee high, olympic style, power lifting, gymnastics, strong man, and even a little endurance training, but combining all into one blew my mind! I’ve been a collegiate athlete, trained with awesome strength coaches and have a degree in sports and fitness, so I’ve heard of the CrossFit principles and had a basic understanding of what was going on and I had my doubts. It took a combination of things to get me into this “box” but once I stepped into this world I never looked back. I grew in my understanding of the principles of human performance and real functional strength! Militia Fitness has helped me get into the best shape of my life…and I see no limit on the potential of the human body. Militia Fitness isn’t just a gym it’s a group of highly motivated people willing to push themselves to be the best they can be and embrace, support, and motivate others around them.
